Moving to New Zealand
Moving to New Zealand requires careful planning, especially when it comes to shipping household goods (HHG) and vehicles. At East Coast Shipping, we offer three primary international shipping options: Less than Container Load (LCL), Groupage, and Full Container Load (FCL). Each method has its advantages depending on your shipment size and budget.
LCL is ideal for smaller shipments that do not require a full container. Your goods are consolidated with other shipments in a shared container, making it a cost-effective option.
Best for: Smaller personal effects shipments.
Key Fees:
Customs & MPI Compliance and Inspection Fee estimated:
0-8 CBM: NZD $295
8.01-12 CBM: NZD $420
12.01-16 CBM: NZD $535
16.01-32 CBM: NZD $645
Terminal Handling Charges (THC) and NVOCC Fees: NZD $240 per m3 (min 3.5m3)
Groupage is similar to LCL but typically involves pre-arranged shipments where multiple customers share a container.
Best for: Those flexible with timelines looking for a more economical solution.
Key Fees:
Customs & MPI Compliance and Inspection Fee: Same as LCL.
THC Fees: Included in our rates for groupage.
For larger shipments, we offer 20-foot and 40-foot full container options.
