Customs Information for Belgium

Here’s what you’ll need to clear your shipment through Belgian customs:

Required Documents:

Passport copy
Detailed, signed inventory list in English or French
Proof of residence in Belgium (lease, utility bill, etc.)
Work contract or transfer letter (if applicable)
Application 136F form (for duty-free import)
Original Bill of Lading or Air Waybill

? You must import your goods within 12 months of arrival in Belgium to qualify for duty-free import under a transfer of residence.

Duty-Free Eligibility:

Lived outside the EU for at least 12 consecutive months
Items are used and owned for at least 6 months
You do not sell or give away items for at least 12 months after import

Prohibited or Restricted Items:

Firearms and ammunition
Alcohol and tobacco (unless declared and taxed)
Plants, seeds, and soil
Counterfeit items
Pornography or offensive materials
Animal products and certain food items
